Victor estaba en su combate por el WWE Title y alguién le jaló los pies y lo sacó de la lucha provocandole la derrota. Posteriormente se supo que era Apexpredator, luchador que de sorpresa ingresó al combate del Intercontinental que mantenían en aquel momento Siske y Daniel Gabriel. Apexpredator se coronó campeón Intercontinental pero Victor apareció al final de la lucha y lo lanzó de la escalera. Al RAW siguiente ambos se dijeron de todo en la cara y se pactó este combate que ya es de alto vuelo, para muchos es la mejor rivalidad de Elimination Chamber y quieren verla a toda costa. Victor si consigue la victoria logrará entrar al selecto grupo de Triple Crown Champions y Grand Slam Champions
