Tras la actuacion de Checo, Sting y Blackjack en Survivor Series, William Regal les concedio a los 3 una lucha por el United States Championship que poseia Jmanthys, antes de que que iniciase la misma, Checo y Blackjack atacaron a Sting rematandolo contra unos Escalones Metalicos, despues de ello Blackjack se coronaria por primera ocasion en su carrera como United States Champion, buscando defender su titulo por primera ocasion frente a su amigo ahora convertido en rival y frente al mismo sting que buscara conseguir el titulo en el primer Stairs Match en la historia de TLC y de esta empresa.
